In September we bought a new house in Hurricane Utah. It is 4 bedroom 2 bath. The first time I walked through it in May I was disgusted and said, "NO!" There was trash all over and tons of bugs. There were even swear words written on walls and doors. After a couple of months and thinking about it every now and then, we decided to give it a shot. If we got it for a good price we could really fix it up. Well, right before we put in an offer, the bank painted and recarpeted it. It made a world of difference. So everything worked out. We feel like we got a good deal for it and we are pleased. The kids are having a good time playing and Porter has met a couple of older friends. He had a harder time because he didn't want to start a new school and leave his old friends at the apartments, but I told him this is so much better for us. Every now and then he will still say he likes St. George better. There is still a lot of work we plan on doing to the house and yard so it will keep us busy for the next little while!! Here are some photos of us fixing it up. Thanks to everyone that helped!!

Yay! The house looks great! AND roomy. S still says she wants to move back to the apartments sometimes, but we tell her there's NO WAY that's ever going to happen. :) I think it's just a way of getting a reaction.
Congrats! It's always exciting to know you can paint what ever color you want because it's yours. so exciting.
