On our way to Los Angeles to board the Carnival ship "Paradise." We left early Friday morning and got there around noon. Mexico...here we come.
The boat was huge. The pictures don't do justice. Our room was on level 6 of 12. We had 2 portholes for windows. We only got lost a time or two. We lost track of Rowdy and Colby one time and it was not easy trying to find them.
It was great having people there to serve you and having food available at all times is great. Saturday we docked in Ensenada Mexico. It was an interesting experience. I don't think I really like having the little kids begging for you to buy their chiclets. One little girl about Shandlee's age just kept right with us, didn't say a word, just looked up at us with her big brown eyes holding her hand out for money. I thought that was pretty sad. Sunday was a day at sea. It started out very wavy. It was a weird feeling when you walk and the boat sways the other way. Fortunately it didn't last all day long.
Saturday was elegant night. It was kind of fun to actually dress up to go to dinner. Overall, we had a great time. Thanks to Grandma Carolyn for watching the kids while we were gone.

Looks like you guys had fun! We went to Mexico on our honeymoon. We bought two paper mache dolls while there and named them chicklet and peso after those pesky cute little chicklet vendors.
we had a ball too, thanks for going with us! next time, it's a WEEK, eh???
Hmmm....kinda funny, you know WE'VE never been on a cruise before.... sure looks fun..:) I'm glad you guys got away for some R & R.

Your cruise sounded like so much fun. I know we had a hoot on our cruise too in Alaska. Too much food and too many desserts are bad for my tummy. But it's only once in a lifetime, until nextime.
