On December 4 2013 we had a snow storm. Taking the kids to school was tricky because cars were sliding off the road and the poor crossing guard almost got hit. If anyone knows me, the know I absolutely HATE driving in the snow. Fortunately I did not slide much. :)
Then on December 7 we got more snow. This was a Saturday so the kids got to play in it. It started in the morning and didn't quit until late that night. Roads were closed, there were several accidents and I was freaked out because Rowdy had to get home from the store. We got about 6 inches I believe. The problem with that is that we don't have snow plows. So where that may not seem like a lot, it was plenty!! We were supposed to have a ward Christmas party that night but I didn't go. Shan came down with a fever so I told them I wasn't going. I gave her medicine and she felt fine after that. Rowdy made it home safely thank goodness although he said parts weren't easy. I have to remember he is a much better driver in the snow than I am. Church was cancelled for several wards but ours was not. So at one o'clock the next day we walked uphill to church because we couldn't get our cars out of the driveway. We slipped a few times because there was SO much ICE!!
The sun did come out but for next 3 days or do it didn't melt much because our High's were in the 20's!! It is Spring now and people are still wondering if their plants will pull through from that bitter cold that we had. It's nice to look at but THAT IS ALL!!
